Manuel Mota

Chief Executive Officer

Manuel is currently the CEO at Golden Monarque SCR SA. Manuel joined Golden Monarque in 2022 from working at ECS Capital, where he was CFO, managing the financing, legal and tax matters of a €1,2 Billion portfolio, in two different jurisdictions and 62 entities.
Previously, he worked at JPMorgan/Imopólis as a CEO, managing the Imodesenvolvimento Fund, with more than €300 million assets under management. Before that he worked for 15 years as a CFO at the Grupo Mello Real Estate area and for 4 years as a controller in the industrial area.
Manuel holds a degree in Business Organization and Management, from ISCTE – IUL, in Lisbon, and a Master in Business Administration, from ISEG, in Lisbon.
He is fluent in Portuguese, English and Spanish. Manuel is a certified member of RICS, in Property Finance and Investment.
Additionally, he is a visiting professor, at ISEG, of the Master in Real Estate Management and Valuation, teaching real estate valuations.

Ivo Bravo

Chief Financial Officer

Ivo is currently the CFO at Golden Monarque SCR SA, responsible for managing all the financial and accounting divisions.
Previously integrated Winnergroup holding, as Head of Business Development and Market Research, also member of the Investment and Strategic Committee, holding strategic accounts of Lidl, CUF and others.
Prior to Winnergroup, Ivo worked for 15 years in companies such as Chateau Dax International, llaollao international, Glose, Novabase SGPS, Solvay and Citigroup, where he launched the bank retail operation in Portugal, covering several fields of knowledge (Finance, Real Estate, Operations, Marketing, Prototyping, and Investments). He is fluent in Portuguese, Spanish and English.
Ivo holds a Management degree (Lusíada University of Lisbon), PG in Foresight, Strategy, and Innovation (Lisbon School of Economics and Management) and a PG in Business Economics and Competition (ISCTE Business School).

Patrick Abikzer

Chairman

Patrick Abikzer has over 30 years of experience in investment banking, fund management and engineering of residency by Investment products. He is a serial entrepreneur, business owner and global VC investor, mainly in Canada and Portugal.

He is also the Executive Chairman of Stuart Investment Management Ltd, a Canadian Financial Institution headquartered in Montreal, and a member of the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada (IIROC) and the Canadian Investor Protection Fund (CIPF).

Maria Rebelo

Chief Compliance Officer

Maria is currently the CCO of Golden Monarque SCR SA, responsible for the processes by which the company will comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
Maria joined Golden Monarque in 2022. She is a Lawyer, member of the Portuguese Bar Association since 2000, with more than 20 years’ experience in Financial and Corporate Law.
Maria holds a Law degree and Master Degree in Legal Sciences both from the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon, and an LL.M. in International Trade and Business Law from Portuguese Catholic University. Additionally, she was Assistant to Law Professor at the University of Lisbon lecturing Civil Law. She is fluent in Portuguese, English and German.
Previously she has worked at the Portuguese Securities Market Commission, and for the Clutch Group Switzerland LLC, in Zürich, a Company providing legal and compliance services, namely for financial institutions.

Vasco Sequeira

Analyst

Currently Vasco is an Investment Financial Analyst at Golden Monarque SCR S.A., responsible for analyzing investment opportunities, due diligence processes, financial statements, investment risks, and the performance and profitability of investments.
Vasco started at Golden Monarque in 2022, and previously integrated Jerónimo Martins in the Commercial Department and Financial Planning and Control Department. He is fluent in Portuguese and English.
Vasco holds a BSc in Finance and Accounting (ISCTE Business School) and a MSc in Finance (ISEG – Lisbon School of Economics and Management).

Joaquim Montezuma

Independent Investmentment Comitee Member

Joaquim has been ImoEconometrics managing partner since 2005 and he has over 27 years’ experience as a real estate market investment consultant.
Joaquim is an invited Associated Professor at ISEG/Lisbon University, teaching in real estate and finance fields. He coordinates the Postgraduation in Real Estate Management and Valuation (accredited by the RICS).
Joaquim holds a PhD in Property Economics from the University of Glasgow (UK), an MBA and MSc in Finance from the Portuguese Catholic University and a degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Coimbra. He is fluent in Portuguese and English. Joaquim is a Board Member of the European Real Estate Society, a certified member of RICS, Recognized European Valuer (REV) – TEGOVA and Registered CMVM appraiser.
Previously, he was Assistant Professor for 10 years at Portuguese Catholic University and 3 years as a production manager in the pharmaceutical industry (Hovione).

Our Investment Comitee

All investment and divestment decisions are carefully analyzed and reviewed before being presented to the Investment Committee, which incorporates an independent member – Joaquim Montezuma. The Investment Committee’s decisions are then recommended to the board, which will execute only the ones taken by unanimity.

Mariana Henriques

Office Manager

Mariana is currently an Office Manager at Golden Monarque SCR S.A., responsible for giving support to the Direction, communicating between Partners, Suppliers and others, organizing the office, and other business support work. Mariana started at Golden Monarque in 2024, and previously worked at GrupoConcept as an Administrative Assistant. Mariana studied in England at Reading College. She is fluent in Portuguese and English.
